Dungeon Descent

Dungeon Descent is a First-Person Dungeon Delve, Battle Skeletons and Stop the Skeleton Threat from Overthrowing the Kingdom!

This game was made for the Sainsbury's Centre and includes the 'Standing Woman' by Alberto Giacometti & 'Walking Hippopotamus' Artefacts!

Overview

Dungeon Descent is a game made during my time at college. This project was special as we collabarated with the Sainsbury's Centre in Norwich to bring their collection to life.

My game idea was to create a fantasy 'DOOM' style game in which you must fight enemies and collect power ups.

The way I implemented the artefacts was as power-ups that help the player.

Project Goals

- Medieval Fantasy hack-and-slash in Unreal Engine
-Create a low-poly cartoon game
-Design and create all of the assets myself in Blender
-Expand my skills in Blender
-Learn more about Unreal Engine through creative practice
-Use Unreal Engine blueprints to code the game, using online guides to aid the process.
-Keep to the required PEGI 7 age rating.
-Manage time effectively to meet the deadline. I also used a site called 'Trello' to track exactly what I needed to be working on each week, keeping track of my progress.
